From 6 to 8 September, the GATH conference brought together the entire aquaculture industry for what became three intensive, educational and inspiring days.
Global Aquaculture Tech Hub (GATH) is an organisation, bringing together key players working with technology development in the aquaculture industry. The industry is growing rapidly and has many opportunities, so there has been a desire to be able to gather to learn and be inspired by each other. Against this backdrop, the GATH conference was held for the first time this year.
Arve Løset project manager and general manager of GATH Lene Trude Solheim was finally able to breathe out Thursday afternoon after seeing the conference they have worked intensively with over the past year arrive safely in port.
With over 300 registered guests, 25 speakers and many parallel excursions to relevant companies, there has been plenty to keep track of.
We would like to thank the GATH Programme Committee, headed by Chairman Per Helge Devold for the work well done. They have done an excellent job of putting in place an excellent line of speakers.
“All in all, the conference has gone very well. We have received a lot of positive feedback from both the audience and speakers, but at the same time there are opportunities for adaptations and adjustments. We will take this into account in the evaluation work we will start soon,” Løset concludes.
Thank you to our partner banks who participated as sponsors for the conference and at the student conference.
