Steinar Sønsteby has been Chief Executive Officer of Atea since January 2014. Atea is the market leader within IT infrastructure in the Nordic and Baltic countries with more than 7,200 employees and revenue of more than $4.5 billion.  

Sønsteby has comprehensive leadership experience from top-level management positions in the Nordics for more than 25 years and in total, Steinar Sønsteby has 30 years of experience from the IT industry. Under Steinar’s leadership Atea has delivered both solid revenue growth and impressive shareholder return by more than tripling the share price and a healthy dividend. Sønsteby is also chairman of the board of Fjordkraft ASA. 

Steinar holds a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Utah and a degree in Economics from Oslo School of Business. With two grown-up children Steinar lives in Oslo, Norway, with his wife. He is a keen biker and skier and in general loves spending time outdoors.
