Bio: Per-Kaare is a seasoned tech-lawyer with over 25 years of experience in advising tech companies. His areas of expertise include data governance, data protection, telecommunication digital services, digital market regulation, competition law, intellectual property law and transactions. He has worked with digital platform providers, software developers and providers and collaboration platform providers. He regularly advises companies that acquire technology. In the decade an increasing part of his practise has been related to artificial intelligence, data governance and e-discovery in investigations. His experience span from negotiating commercial transaction to regulatory issues and disputes, including large outsourcing projects and M&A involving tech businesses. He also advise on general commercial legal issues, contract law, corporate law and civil and regulatory disputes as well as merger procedures.

Sigurdur har bred erfaring fra sjømatbransjen. Islendingen jobbet som fisker på en av båtene til Samherji i to år, før han startet på ingeniørutdannelsen.    

– Etter endt utdanning jobbet jeg som programmerer i Marel og var med på installasjoner i hele verden. Deretter fullførte jeg en MBA, før veien ledet meg tilbake til Samherji der det hele begynte, sier Sigurdur.  

Han er utdannet ingeniør innen industriell mekanikk, samt informatikk. I tillegg har han en MBA (Master of Business Administration) i finans og entreprenørskap.

Etter seks nye år i Samherji var Òlason administrerende direktør i fiskeridivisjonen til Marel i seks år, før han de siste årene har jobbet i en innovativ startup med fokus på energiomstilling i fiske- og lasteflåten på Island.   

– Innovasjon, teknologi og kunstig intelligens er noe jeg interesserer meg for og som jeg ser på som helt avgjørende for fremtiden til dagens selskaper, forklarer Òlason. 

I sitt innlegg på Gath vil Sigurdur fortelle om hvordan dra nytte av AI (kunstig intelligens) i havbruk i dag og i fremtiden.

David Bassett:  Secretary General, European Aquaculture Technology & Innovation Platform (EATiP).

Involved with EATiP since the platform formation in 2008, David assumed the role of General Secretary at the start of 2021 and is responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic coordination of this European wide multi actor aquaculture European Technology Platform.

Working in the aquaculture sector since 2005, David spent a decade as the General Secretary of a UK producers association and through this became active in EU funded Framework Programme projects on behalf of both EATiP and the Federation of European Aquaculture Producers (FEAP).

He currently chairs the Research Focus Group of the Aquaculture Advisory Council (AAC), in addition to working as an expert for the delivery of the DG MARE / CINEA funded Aquaculture Assistance Mechanism and project partner in the Horizon Europe – Mission Ocean funded OLAMUR project.  He sits on numerous European Partnership & project advisory boards as well as the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research Fish Committee (SCAR-Fish).

Among previous roles, David served as a director of the Scottish Aquaculture Research Forum, acted as Director & Company Secretary for an independent industry led quality standard/certification scheme, has sat on the Technical Advisory Group of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC TAG) and has been invited as a guest lecturer at the Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling (UK).

Tone Lunde Bakker har lang fartstid i store nordiske banker hvor hun har hatt flere lederstillinger, sist som administrerende direktør i Swedbank Norway. Før dette jobbet hun 18 år i Danske Bank Norway, inkludert tre år som Country Manager. Med sin kompetanse og erfaring fra nordisk bank og industri er Lunde Bakker spesielt engasjert i bærekraftig finansiering og grønn energiomstilling, og er opptatt av mulighetene dette gir for norske og nordiske selskaper. Lunde Bakker er utdannet siviløkonom fra Arizona State University, og er i tillegg autorisert finansanalytiker (AFA) fra Norges Handelshøyskole. Hun har hatt flere styre- og valgkomitéroller, blant annet i Eksportfinans AS og i Equinor, og er i dag styremedlem i Ratos AB og medlem av Rådet i DNV.
